I received my Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, San Diego in 2005 and my Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in 2010. I have been licensed to practice law in California since 2011. As an undergraduate, I worked as a tutor and mentor for underserved communities in San Diego. I worked with students ranging from first to twelfth grade, as well as adults preparing for the GED. After finishing my bachelors degree, I worked as an English instructor with high school-level students in France for a school year. While I tutor a range of subjects, I most enjoy tutoring French and Social Sciences. I really enjoy the tutoring process; I like building a rapport with my clients such that I gain a sense of accomplishment from their academic growth and success. I am a firm believer that all goals are achievable with enough effort and dedication. In my leisure time I enjoy running, playing bocce ball, traveling, and watching stand-up comedy.
