I recently graduated with honors from Humboldt State University, HSU, earning a B.A. in Anthropology and a minor in Biology. While studying at HSU, I worked as a research & teaching assistant through the Anthropology department and as a tutor at the university's Learning Center. During my employment at the Learning Center, I tutored students on course related study skills and became a Level I CRLA certified tutor. I love tutoring the biological sciences, especially Anatomy & Physiology. For the past two years I have volunteered at the Humboldt County, and more recently the LA County, Coroners Office where I have gained a strong working knowledge of the human body. I hope to continue my research in Forensic Anthropology and Human Anatomy as a graduate student next year.
I like to think of myself as a holistic tutor. I strive not only to help my tutees with the course at hand but also build a foundation of study skills, time management, and organization they can apply to succeed for the rest of their academic career.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I'm highly looking forward to meeting and working with you in the future.
