I received my education from the University of Southern California (USC). I studied Biology as well as Nonprofits, Philanthropy, and Volunteerism. Because of my education and interests in the nonprofits, I worked extensively within this sector, focusing on marketing, business development, and donor acquisition. After my time working in this field, I entered the finance industry where I work to analytically compose financial portfolios for my clients. While I feel very comfortable with a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about English (Writing, Literature, Reading Comprehension), and the Sciences (Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, etc.)
As a former student intern with the Joint Educational Program at USC as well as a private tutor in San Diego, I have had an extensive range of experience working along K-12 students with preparation for Standardized tests, such as the SATs, (SAT I, SAT II, PSAT), ACT, AP, IB. I specifically love working with students in preparing for these types of tests because it demands for a higher level of focus and content coverage. I particularly love to help students with Critical Reading and Writing- boring and difficult concepts can actually be fun...I promise!
As a first generation Korean American, I am an advocate for education, and while I see the flaws in our educational system's vast achievement gap, I am optimistic in our children's generation and their incredible potential to become our future leaders and movers.
I enjoy spending my free time lazying on the beach shores, finding new and exciting restaurants to explore, and serving at my local church.
