I am a Doctoral student in a joint program in Language and Communicative Disorders at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. I am studying language development in bilingual speakers as well as the interaction of bilingualism and cognitive processes.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell University in 2012 with a degree in Linguistics. On campus, I worked as a tour guide and served as Recruitment Advisor for my honors fraternity.
I love the academic environment and believe everyone can succeed in school--it's just a matter of finding the right tools and habits for each student. I am eager to share what has helped me in the past and find creative ways to make classes both useful and interesting. I enjoy helping students with reading and writing skills as well as standardized test preparation. I also enjoy helping make math more accessible; I have experience tutoring elementary school math as well as Algebra and Geometry.
When I'm not studying, I love hiking and taking photos--and it's all the better when I get to do that abroad!
