I'm a graduate of California State University Los Angeles. I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Last year I tutored 400 hours of math and language arts for the Los Angeles Unified School District in a No Child Left Behind program for underperforming student grades 2 through 12. I'm also a substitute teacher in Los Angeles. I have passed all the required tests to become a high school math teacher and I'm currently in a comprehensive graduate program that will award a teaching credential and a Master's Degree in Education. I'm comfortable tutoring all high school math subjects, but love tutoring trigonometry the most because it is a challenging balance of geometry and algebra. My degree in computer science qualifies me to tutor high school programming classes and first year college programming classes. My teaching style is socratic, I try my best to engage my students in conversations where they build for themselves the knowledge they need to succeed. My hobbies are backpacking, hiking, comic book collecting and computer graphics.
