I have received my education from the University of California, Santa Cruz for a BA in Economics and Mathematics. During my time there I took advantage of various opportunities to teach different subjects to different age levels. Whether it was working with children while volunteering at the Seymour Center, as a grader for the upper level College course Advanced Linear Algebra, or in group learning sessions that me and my friends created to help each other learn; I was able to develop my skills at breaking down problems into a clear step by step manner. Through all these experiences, the one thing I have taken away is that memorization is never the best way to learn, learning how to approach a problem is far more important.
I am able to tutor any math subject a high school student would be exposed to including Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics. I am also able to tutor in many College level courses including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Proofs and Problem Solving, and Real Analysis.
As cool as math is, it is not the only thing I care about! I have three dogs and a cat: Buck, Penny, Honey, and Socks. They make life unpredictable and always are good for a smile everyday. I am a big food lover; one of my favorite things to do is to walk through the supermarket to find a good deal on an interesting ingredient to try something new. I also really enjoy playing and watching football, basketball, and lacrosse.
