I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor's degree in English. Currently, I am studying Poetry at San Diego State University's MFA Creative Writing program. I hope to continue to publish my work and go on to teach writing at the university level. When I am not tutoring via Varsity, I work as a writing tutor at SDSU's Tutoring Center. I enjoy the diversity of tasks, the puzzles, and potential available in all writing assignments I encounter as a tutor and work to bring my positive attitude and energy to all projects my students bring forth. My favorite subjects to work with are high school English, Rhetoric, writing assignments of all levels and types, AP History, AP Composition/Literature, and college-level RWS classes. My past tutoring and teaching experiences are vast: I have worked as a teacher naturalist at an outdoor education program and a healthy-eating instructor to elementary school students. I have also led exploratory poetry workshops with San Diego high school students, refugees, and military veterans. I sincerely look forward to all of my one-on-one tutoring sessions and feel like I am doing what I'm supposed to do when I am empowering a student to write effectively.
