I graduated with High Honors and Distinction from UC Berkeley with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Environmental Biology. I hope to become a doctor and am currently in the process of applying to medical school. I am passionate about science and want to pass this enthusiasm onto my students. In High School, I tutored middle school students in math. During college, I was the head instructor of a special needs program where I taught children with physical and mental disabilities hydrotherapy techniques. I also started a class at UC Berkeley called Deconstructing Disability where I designed a syllabus that aimed to reduce the stigma associated with the disabled community. I recently returned from Peru, where I educated in need communities on public health issues. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, hiking, surfing, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
