I am an alumnus of Washington and Lee with a BA in the Classics. My enduring passion for Latin literature drove me to become the University's top Latin student at my graduation, a distinction that demonstrates my mastery of the subject. I am also an alumnus of the Washington and Lee School of Law, where I further honed my critical thinking and writing skills in pursuit of my JD. In Washington and Lee's highly competitive Moot Court Competition, I put these skills to good use, receiving the contest's prestigious award for Best Brief. Today I am sharing the fruits of my exceptional education with students in the city.
As an academic jack of all trades, my expertise extends beyond Writing and Latin, encompassing a wide range of World History and English curricula and standardized testing strategies. Having tutored and taught students of many ages, I know how to convey complex concepts in accessible terms, and my exceptional patience enables me to deduce and utilize the learning styles of individual students. Having always found classroom and standardized tests to be intuitive and learnable, I am able to impart testing strategies in addition to teaching textbook material.
In my woefully limited spare time, I read extensively, dabble in creative writing, and translate my favorite Latin literature. I also keep abreast of political developments and the social debate du jour per my desire to better understand and one day improve the world in which we live.
