I have been teaching college chemistry for over ten years at various higher education institutions as well as running an after school high school science program. I have a masters in chemistry and completed graduate work in the learning sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a program that researches how people learn with the intent of designing effective learning environments.
I enjoy tutoring Chemistry at both the high school and college level, specifically introductory courses to General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. When working with students to improve their understanding of Chemistry, I like to ask questions to get them to think about how to approach the problem and find ways to connect the problems to real life situations.
In my spare time, spending time with my husband, daughter, and puppy and I enjoy cooking and baking, and reading science fiction novels.
