I am a graduate of Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, with a BA in both International Affairs and Hispanic Studies. I have spent extensive time living in Spanish speaking countries, including a semester studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina and a year of teaching in Sevilla, Spain. I am a teacher of many skills- I have spent years coaching youth lacrosse, leading groups of kids on backpacking trips in Wyoming, and introducing ceramics to college students- but I am most passionate about sharing the magic of language and the places it can take you. While teaching English in Spain, I was impressed by the enthusiasm that the students responded with to learning a language, and it is that feeling of excitement that I strive for in my tutoring sessions. Whether it is helping a child communicate with a new friend or preparing an adult to travel to a new country, I hope to help my students achieve meaningful goals. In my spare time I like to get outdoors as much as possible, and there's nothing I like more than a sunny day on the beach.
