I am a teacher with over four years of experience. I have my Master’s degree in teaching from Belmont University. As a full time teacher, I’ve taught middle school Science, Reading, and Writing and have worked with students of all ages. My father is an elementary school teacher and my first experience tutoring was helping his students study for their state exams. Since then, I have prepared hundreds of students for standardized tests as well as real world reading, writing, and math skills.
I believe everyone has an innate yearning to learn. The key is finding a method that works for each individual student. My goal as a tutor is to not only raise test scores and improve grades, but to also help students tap into themselves and discover the learning methods that work for them. In my free time, I like to cook food grown in my garden, read a good book, and discover new music. I also like to read and listen to spoken work poetry.
