I am a Bay Area native, having spent my whole life here. I attended California State University - East Bay, attaining a BA in Psychology and currently working on a double teacher credential for elementary school and K-12 mathematics. I got my start at an after school program where I learned to be a positive role model. Once I was finished there, I went on to work in four different elementary schools, having seen many different classrooms and students. I have tutoring experience in a variety of maths, sciences, reading, and writing, although most of my one-to-one work has been in the classroom itself, where I have worked with students of all age and skill levels. I particularly love working on reading/phonics and writing; however, Algebra has become a particular strong suit of mine, and I enjoy making math fun and accessible. I make sure to establish a strong connection with every student I work with, always emphasizing the good work each student creates. I love to have fun and joke around with my students to create a sense of comfort, caring, and fun. In my free time, I love to play basketball, listen to music, read up on current events, or just spend time with my friends, family, and puppy.
