I recently graduated from UC San Diego. I have a vast amount of experience teaching different types of subjects, but by far mathematics is my favorite subject to teach. I have tutored math in all types of fields and difficulties ranging from middle school arithmetic to college level calculus and algebra. Furthermore, I helped fellow peers with their math classes and through my tutoring techniques, raised their grades by a substantial amount while helping them understand the material. Studying abroad allowed me to develop invaluable communication skills that are necessary for working in an ever-changing and diversifying world. My experience with intercultural dialogue and collaboration has given me the confidence to be able to communicate and effectively teach others, despite existing language and cultural barriers.
When I tutor any subject, I do my best to understand why the information is not making sense to the person and break down the process to pinpoint where they are having difficulties. For me, the learning process is all about patience and holistic understanding before advancing onto further topics. I do my best to make the person understand by asking conceptual questions to make sure they know it too before continuing.
I am very passionate and dedicated about the subjects I teach so I do my best to instill the same intensity for learning in my students. I cater to the individuals needs and optimize our time together.
