I live and work in Los Angeles, California. I am originally from North Carolina, where I studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I graduated with a double-major in Journalism and Mass Communication (with a reporting specialization) and Dramatic Art. While at UNC, I worked for The Durham Voice, a community newspaper for the city of Durham, where I was a reporter and photographer. I mentored Durham high school journalism students and helped them brainstorm potential articles, as well as proofread and critiqued their writing. I also tutored fourth graders in writing and reading-based programs and served as a teaching assistant for other subjects. I am lively, passionate about learning and believe in making school fun! I strive to find creative ways to help students fully absorb the material they are studying. I am diligent, dependable and so excited to meet new students and help them succeed!
