I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving my degree in Physiology. I moved to Boston to have an adventure before attending medical school for sports medicine. Science and sports medicine excite me because I play rugby and soccer; I research muscles because I can see them working as a player runs down the field. I have worked with students from elementary school age to college in a variety of subjects. I love the sciences, particularly learning how the body works, but I have also excelled in math and standardized test prep. The world is full of puzzles, and school just has a few of the more difficult ones. Academic success is built from how we approach these puzzles, and how each unique mind breaks down a problem's pieces. For test prep, studying is as much about learning equations and facts as it is about learning the tricks to the format. Again, it is all a puzzle, and I can teach you the ways to hack the system by knowing the rules to the game. In the classroom, you can only get the material in a way that the teacher understands it. It can be almost like a code or another language. My job is to help present material in different ways until it's transparent, and then teach how to decode those puzzles for yourself!
