I am a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and I grew up in Needham, MA. I have had a passion for mentoring young people from an early age. As a group leader at an overnight camp for several years, I discovered how much I enjoyed being a mentor and guiding hand in someone else’s life. As a young man myself, I developed a passion for Latin early on, and excelled in it through middle school, high school and college eventually earning my B.A. in Classics. Upon graduating, I went on to teach Latin for three years. My principal would always cite my ability to motivate and inspire my students to enjoy learning. I have since been involved in other pursuits, but the passion for educating and mentoring students has never left me. I also tutor elementary Spanish and elementary math, and bring the same energy and expertise to those subjects. To me, there is nothing like seeing a student’s eyes light up when they finally “get it”. I am patient, helpful, and upbeat in my approach to teaching, and I hope I can help you!
