I’m a graduate of UCLA, with a BA in English, and of the University of Texas, at Austin, where I completed an MA in English. I have received fellowships and scholarships from both universities. I taught undergraduate courses in English Literature, British Literature, and Creative Writing at Texas. I peer-reviewed scholarly articles for Texas Literature and Language Studies. I also served as the Managing Editor of a nationally-distributed literary magazine. For two years, I tutored middle-schoolers in writing and English. In between, I have worked in marketing, producing ads for print and digital media.
I offer expertise in the fields of Language Arts, writing, and SAT prep. I understand the pressures facing young women and men trying to do well and get into college. I’m a nice guy. I can tell a joke. And I know when it’s acceptable to use ‘and’ to begin a sentence. My interests include contemporary fiction, E(lectronic) D(ance) M(usic), and good deli.
