Hi! I am based in D.C. and grew up nearby in Maryland.
I attended Yale University and earned my Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language & Literature with distinction. Outside of my major I focused heavily on English and Comparative Literature courses, as well as History and Political Science.
I tutor students in a variety of subjects, one of which is, of course Spanish ("por supuesto"!). I teach the language at all levels: introductory, intermediate (Spanish II and III), and A.P. (Advanced Placement Conversational/Grammar test).
My tutoring specialties are NOT, however, limited to Spanish!
I am a Writing and English super-star and an excellent choice as a tutor for students seeking to improve the quality of their composition, grammar, and reading comprehension.
Mastery of writing and English/foreign language skills give one a remarkable advantage in any academic or professional setting; however, such skills are in short supply! Most students struggle to acquire superior English, foreign language, and writing skills, and later in life wish that they had gained a stronger foundation.
I love being a writing coach. When I coach writing, I collaborate with the student to help them overcome the challenges of drafting, organizing, researching, and revising important terms papers and essays. I also specialize in advising my students as they work on the much-dreaded college applications essay. These long and intimidating writing projects do NOT have to be daunting and difficult. With my encouragement and guidance, students often surprise themselves at how quickly they make progress and get these assignments done!
I look forward to working with you.
