I am currently a Junior at Rice University, originally hailing from a little town an hour north of New York City. My roots are not so far from Houston though, because I spent my early years growing up in Austin. I first started tutoring when I was in middle school, when I joined the National Junior Honor Society. I have continued tutoring since then, and am now one of the Head Academic Mentors at my college, providing academic mentorship to my peers at Rice. After graduating from Rice, I hope to attend medical school to fulfill my long-term goal of becoming a pediatrician. I love working with kids of all ages - I believe I can learn from them just as much as I can teach them, and hope to inspire confidence and a love for learning.
Outside of academics, I am a theater enthusiast, avid book reader, and amateur crotcheter. On the weekends I am usually exploring the Houston restaurant scene with my friends, or enjoying a quiet evening with a movie, popcorn, and some good company.
