Education is my life. I've been a classroom teacher for the past four years and a tutor for the past five years. I've enjoyed every year. There is nothing like educating young people and having an influence on their future endeavors. My specialty is mathematics. I feel mathematics contributes to explaining how the world works. When I teach, I use many applications in mathematics to help enlightened the minds of young people. My ultimate goal for my students is to gain an appreciation for mathematics. As a result, students will gain better comprehension to be better active learners in the classroom and pass exams.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I always want to give my students the opportunity to grow academically. To do this, I allow my students to use their personal experiences to better comprehend any material discussed. This allows my students to stay better engaged when listening to instruction or lectures.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I have my students tell me their strengths and weaknesses when I first meet them. This allows me to understand exactly what the student needs without reviewing topics where the student has already shown mastery.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
It starts with getting a student to gain confidence in himself. Teaching a student how to be an active learner is a great way to start. As an educator, I have to encourage my students to ask questions and open their minds to the method of problem solving.
