I am a 2010 graduate from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Education and have a passion for teaching! This past year, I taught 3rd grade at an elementary school in Orlando, Florida. I began mid school year in January 2011 as a 2nd Grade teacher, but was moved to 3rd grade, a testing grade, for the 2011-2012 school year because I showed the promise of a strong teacher. I proved this was well deserved through my strong student learning gains.
Then, I moved to Los Angeles, California this summer! Currently, I am teaching 3rd grade again at an elementary school in West Hollywood. I am very excited about my recent move, my new job, and new tutoring opportunities!
I believe my inspiration for teaching comes from a strong family lineage of educators. I see the benefit of educating our future generation and thoroughly enjoy actively participating in this endeavor. From an early age, I have always loved to be around children, which led me to a lucrative babysitting career in the small town of Cocoa Beach, FL. Once in college, I found teaching to be my calling as I thrived in educational courses. It is my daily goal to always make a student feel exceptional, give constant motivation to learn as well as consistently treating them with the respect they deserve!
I am confident that my experience and skills will be an asset to your child’s learning and development and would enjoy an opportunity to tutor your child. I look forward to meeting with you!
