I am a PhD student at the University of Toronto at the Centre for Medieval Studies and a Teaching Assistant in the English Department. As a Teaching Assistant, I conduct discussion based tutorials, lecture on thesis development and argumentation, mentor students on paper writing and study skills during office hours, and constructively comment on close reading exercises and essays.
I am advanced in both Classical and Medieval languages, and have extensive experience tutoring Latin at the grade and high school levelsI received my BA in Classics and in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University, continued to study Greek and Latin in the University of Pennsylvania's Post-Baccalaureate Classical Studies Program, and then acquired Medieval Latin during my MA at the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto.
When not busy with academics, I fence on the varsity team, practice yoga, write poetry, and travel. During my summers I teach (art intensives, fencing, science, and more) at summer camps to groups of varying ages and ability levels.
I am not only uniquely qualified academically, but also adaptable, fun, and invested in my students successes!
