Having just completed my graduate studies at NYU, I now spend my time as a writer and a tutor of all topics having to do with the language arts and history. Years of experience have honed my skills as a tutor and I am excited to be working with Varsity Tutors to help students excel.
What makes me a great tutor is a genuine love of the topics I teach, as well as a determination to see my students achieve their academic goals. I believe that good tutoring is about encouragement, inspiration, understanding the difficulties of the student in an empathic way and working one step at a time to help the student believe in themselves and overcome those difficulties. I also believe that great tutoring combines rigorous study with a sense of joy and fun. I am a patient, engaging and caring person and bring these qualities to my work.
During my free time I enjoy writing, reading, playing the guitar, studying psychology, philosophy and the religions of the world, traveling, listening to music and hanging out with my friends.
