Tutoring review by Brian in Saginaw, TX
The student and I focused on current classwork. They are covering ongoing material about mean +_ error. The current material on t* builds from the previous work on z*. She is able to manipulate means and deviation/error. By unit she gets the material. Preemptively preparing for the next exam, we should start to review what rules apply to which set of statistics.

Tutoring review by Andrew in Saginaw, TX
In this session, we went over inequalities and absolute values. The student was struggling with how to process OR inequalities and absolute values. We went over how to solve these problems and what they meant. In his geometry, we went over some basic definitions and practice problems on lines, points, planes, and rays. He seemed to have a bit of trouble with the few 3D problems but breezed through the majority of that material. We also reviewed the different classifications of numbers and how to determine which classifications a number belongs to.

Tutoring review by Jeffrey in Saginaw, TX
Reviewed torque by working through homework questions. Practiced drawing free body diagrams of levers and their axes of rotation. Explained relationship between systems being in equilibrium and how the summation of torques/forces equal zero. The student had some trouble setting up her sum of torque equation, but we reviewed signs for torque (clockwise=negative, counterclockwise=positive), and when she worked through it and explained her thought process, she was much more successful in setting up her equation. She still needs to practice drawing free body diagrams and improving her understanding of how the x and y components of forces are used/relevant to a problem. She seems to be gaining confidence.
