Tutoring review by Jessica in Maplewood, MO
The student and I worked on Math mostly during this session. He is learning about graphs and had homework to work on. He understands how to read the information from the graph but has some confusion about how to plot points on graphs. We worked on this concept more thoroughly and he caught on quickly. He was in great spirits and worked very hard!

He wanted help reviewing some lessons that he did not completely understand in class. I helped him review finding the area between two functions and explained how that concept is used for other applications. I also reviewed solving differential equations, finding and interpreting the first and second derivatives, and integration using u substitution.

Tutoring review by Samuel in Maplewood, MO
We talked about adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying algebraic equations. We did multiple examples from his teacher's assigned problems. The student has improved a whole lot more, and his algebraic thinking and factoring skills are much better. Great job today.

Tutoring review by Zachary in Maplewood, MO
Tonight was our first meeting and went very well. The student is in a conceptual physics class, so not a lot of computation is involved. This doesn't mean the class is not difficult though, as the questions must be carefully parsed to find the answer. I think he understands the concepts very well and I enjoy covering the foundations of physics with him.

Tutoring review by Benedetto in Maplewood, MO
We did a couple of his exercises, which the student solved with no effort. Then I proposed him a hard problem for his grade. We solved it together and he was able to follow all the steps. We finished on simple arithmetic problems, like the product of ten thousands and one hundred. I worked them all the way up from very simple examples to far more complicated percentages and price discounts.

Tutoring review by Patricia in Maplewood, MO
Warmed up with practicing multiplication facts with online game. Reviewed Order of Operations with two worksheets. Reviewed substituting values for unknowns in an expression. Presented how to write algebraic expressions from words. Followed this up with a worksheet, online word problems, and an online game. Because she mentioned she had not retaken the decimal multiplication portion of her test, I also had her review this topic online with more practice problems.
