Tutoring review by Ronald in Columbiana, OH
The student and I continued his assignment for gas laws and precipitation. He is doing a very good job with his assignments. Once we were able to quickly finished those two assignments, we moved onto Geometry. He is also doing a very good with this subject, requiring very little assistance. I left him with the assignment to start early on his next Chemistry homework so that I can answer any questions he has for our next session.

We finished up late/missing work. Both boys have PowerPoint presentations due next week. We set up the template slides, named them, and organized the notes to write the content. Student 1's Parts of a Sentence project is a partner project, so I told him to be sure to get the other boy's material together so that I could see the completed project before he presents it next week. Student 2 began to write his narrative for the slides on his Henry Ford presentation. He completed three of the seven slides. They realize that they need to get a jump on these bigger projects and not leave them until the last minute.

Tutoring review by Chandler in Columbiana, OH
We continued to work back through the study guide from the student's final. This time he started off the session by pretending to be me (sitting in my chair, telling me to get out my homework) so I played along and had him 'teach' me some of the problems we had already gone over. He did well, and I feel we can move on from the study guide at this point. Next session, we'll begin working on solving algebraic expressions in anticipation of next year.

We continued our work on graphing conics. Today, we worked more on the form of different conics equations as well as how to reformat given equations to resemble the standard form. We also discussed finding zeroes and what basic information one would need to graph any of the conics. We finished up by beginning to discuss hyperbolas. The student is doing very well with parabolas, circles, and ellipses.

This week the student and I worked on inscribed angles and chords. He had no difficulty with the topic whatsoever which is excellent! We're actually a few days ahead of his class and that's how I intend to keep him so that he has a leg up on everyone else.
