Tutoring review by Christian in The University of Utah, UT
Today we focused on fractions, ratios, and how the two are related to decimals and percentages. I am very impressed with the student's poise and continued improvement. His mother stated that the last graphic organizer that I provided him with which listed the steps when solving inequalities really helped him. I will be providing him with another graphic organizer so that he can see how to convert decimals into fractions/ percentages and the necessary steps.

We covered angle bisectors and perpendicular bisector concepts. There was focus on circumcenters and intercenter that highlighted the intersections of point in reference to an inscribed circle versus a triangle that was inscribed in the circle. Continued review for placement test. The student needs help with the concept of certain functions, but he did well with other material. Again, he does a great job of showing his work, which is really beneficial. He should review the packet, including the material we covered last week.

Tonight we finished studying for the student's chapter 4 test. He understood how to work with i and complete squares, but he was struggling with putting more complex equations into vertex form. After practicing a few times, he got the hang of it. He is still a little weak with word problems, but he understands when we walk through them together.
