The student already had a practice review to complete, so we went over a few of the questions. Student practiced with some graphing and simplifying expression and was able to answer practice problems well.

The student had the same English paper to work on today. We started out by me helping her along little by little, but then I asked her to start completing paragraphs on her own before I read them and helped her improve on them. She's doing very well! Her introductory paragraphs and ability to move smoothly from one paragraph to the next are especially improving.

I listened to the student read two books, and we did two workbook pages. We talked about the 2 books, and she wrote a summary of one of the books for me. Next steps will be to keep working on the summaries of the books she reads.

First, the student and I reviewed his spelling words for a quiz he will be taking Friday. I read him the words, and he wrote them on paper. He did not miss any of them (8/8). Next, we worked on his math. Today, we focused on writing numbers as tens and ones up to 20. He completed 20+ problems and had very little trouble on them.
