Today, we discussed scientific notation. We learned how to express numbers in scientific notation and work with problems presented in scientific notation. We continued to work on more difficult unit conversion problems. The student showed me a page from his book containing formulae for area, volume, density, velocity, acceleration, force in addition to others. I gave him some problems involving the use of these formulas. I asked his mother and him to copy the chapter problems and send them to me so we can discuss them in the next session.
