Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today the student worked on a lab assignment that he had for chemistry, and he also completed a worksheet on radical expressions and exponents."
"We covered strokes; locations, clinical symptoms, blood vessels affected, prevention, and interventions. Reading ct/mri/cta/mra."
"We covered discrete-time Fourier transforms, the discrete Fourier transform, and some applications to specific problems. We also worked on complex functions and how to find their magnitude and argument. The student has enough practice to go over the concepts covered today. The student seems to be understanding the material well after some explanation."
"We reviewed the first portion of the study guide for the final exam. He is having a hard time focusing, so I am encouraging him to thoroughly review the information and to review the questions from the previous exams. We will continue to work on this next session."
"During our session, we spent our time preparing the student for the biology exam that was coming up two days later. The exam was mainly focused on genetics, a topic which the student did well on during his last quiz. We took a few worksheets and covered materials such as genetic diagrams for blood, autosomal inheritance and sex-linked inheritance. We even did a two-gene inheritance exercise. The student seemed prepared on the material, but it was really about organizing his thoughts and making sure he covered all the material. He still needs to do more flash cards and write his mock answers down more neatly, but it is something which we will work on next time and continue to work on."
"In preparation for his AP exam tomorrow, we reviewed the atomic structure and bonding, and the periodic table. The student worked hard on the practice questions we did and he was able to recall most of what he did in school at the beginning of the semester."
