Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I prepared him for his upcoming test covering Calculus of growth and decay, area of plane region, and acceleration/velocity. It appeared that he felt most comfortable with solving problems involving acceleration/velocity and the most recent material involving area of plane region. I left him with solving more of these types of problems and revisiting anything else he was unsure of."
"The student and I had a new packet to introduce ourselves to. This packet was on the law of sine and law of cosine. She told me that during class she decided she liked the law of cosine. I asked her why she favored cosine over sine and she replied that she didn't understand the way the law of sine worked. I explained it until she understood."
"I had a good session with this student. We did a review for her conic sections quiz happening next week. We continued to fill in the rest of the session with review of older material from past units. Today, we continued with solving trigonometric equations. Nice work!"
"The student and I went over inverse functions and solving equations. She picked up the info easily."
"We went over a physics problem in today's session. The student seemed to understand the problem pretty well."
"The student spent this session working on data collection methods, such as stem-and-leaf plots and histograms. Because problems involving charts and arranging data are very time consuming, we did not cover much else, other than reviewing problems from the previous session."
