Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I worked with the student to help prepare him for some of his finals. We started on his algebra review work, which was the same as last session (logarithms). There was also a problem on substitution for solving linear equations, which he needed help on. If he had more problems to work with, he would definitely be much more prepared for his final, but one example of each type of problem is not enough for him to learn. We then worked on some chemistry, which was all stoichiometry. The longest problem we did was a limiting reagents problem, which he needed guidance every step of the way. We also did a net ionic equation problem, in which he needed to complete the reaction before he could even balance it. There was much learning that needed to be done in order to complete these problems, so he definitely was not prepared for them. He needs to work more on chemistry and really try to remember how everything builds on itself in order to be prepared."
"We went over naming conventions and unit conversions. We plan on going over troublesome homework problems next week."
"We went over old AP questions on equilibrium to prepare for her test tomorrow. She seems very fluent with the subject material and I expect her to do well on her test tomorrow."
