Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on SAT geometry prep. We went over several practice problems and talked a little bit about the format of the test. I sent access to several SAT practice exams by email so he could continue to work on his own."
"During our session, the student worked on his English language arts homework. For his assignment, he had to read a few chapters, edit an assignment to do with the book, and complete another assignment related to the reading. He completed the editing assignment first, and then he and I both read. He then completed his assignment. There were a few times during this assignment that I had to prompt him in order to guide him to acquiring the answer. He was very excited to have these assignments completed."
"The student worked on the weekly cash flow assignment. It was relatively involved, including the handling of NPV, inflation, marginal tax rates, loan amortization, capital equipment depreciation, and feasibility issues."
"Today the student worked a math packet that was due over the vacation period. He did a fantastic job with the worksheet, and was very comfortable with the material. Especially when it came to algebra, his math skills were very impressive. His penmanship was neat and clear, which allowed him to maintain organization in his work. Therefore, he made few mistakes and completed the worksheets with ease."
"The student and I started off today's session by talking about the law school admissions process and what steps she needed to consider taking in preparation for life beyond the LSAT. We also discussed her current station relative to her goals for the LSAT and target scores, and how to reconcile the two. Following this, she and I focused the rest of our time on working through some of the challenging logic games from her most recent practice test. For extra practice, she will be taking steps to prepare her law school applications, as well as reviewing specific techniques for the LR and LG sections of the test."
"We took the 1st hour to do a math refresher, which was a combination of the basic concepts for the quant section that we've covered in previous sessions. The 2nd half was spent introducing and drilling Critical Reasoning practice questions."
