Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student practiced estimation and clustering for the test tomorrow. Also worked on multiplying decimals."
"Covered simple geometry, did some practice multiplication tables, created several paper versions of common geometrical shapes."
"We covered creating circles, ellipse, and hyperbola. We also covered chemistry including material such as gas laws."
"I gave the student a 5th grade level spy-themed math workbook to complete. Once he got into it, he was hooked and did not want to stop. The workbook was 5th grade level content, so it did challenge him quite a bit, but he was able to figure out most of the puzzles and questions with little help."
"The student worked on homework that included adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying square and cube roots. We also reviewed some of these same concepts since he said he struggled with them on a quiz today. We finished our session working on the Trig functions, which he will be introduced to tomorrow or Monday."
"The student is really looking for enrichment math. So I found a variety of math problems involving logic, critical thinking, and algebra. She did a great job, though I did need to guide her through most of the problems. We definitely need to do more work on equations. I am glad I saw that, so that now I can incorporate more of that. She was fair with the probability questions, and I will probably add more of that in the future to solidify her skill with that aspect. She seemed to have fun."
