"During the session, we went over born Haber cycles, enthalpy of ionization, atomization, and all those enthalpies related to born Haber cycles. We also went over the inter-molecular forces."
"We worked through the multiple choice section of an old AP exam. We were able to review several difficult concepts and the student had the opportunity to solve tough problems twice."
"We worked on further review for the AP exam. We went over Oxidation numbers and electrolytes/acids/bases. The student feels comfortable with the review."
"Today I met with the student at the library to help her review for final exam today. She emailed her professor last night and got some insight as to what to review. We drew out and reviewed the mechanisms behind cellular respiration (specifically, the electron transport chain) and all the components. We completed reviewing chapter 6 in the biology homework, and redid every question until she could get them right without looking at the answers. Lastly, we reworked an essay prompt for describing the macromolecules in a meal and how they are processed in the body, and I helped her plan out the rest of her day."
"Today we completed the experiment the student brought in. She seemed to have difficulty with the concepts but I believe she left with a better understanding."
"Today we went through the gene therapy lecture. We discussed in detail the different methodologies. We also addressed various diseases targeted by the therapy. We also discussed mitochondrial disorders and what such a pedigree would look like."
