Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went through his week and outlined his assignments and kept up his planner. We reviewed an English quiz that he'd taken this past week and corrected the errors."
"The student spent most of his time working on math and English homework. We also discussed planning the rest of his homework for the week and weekend in order to stay on top of things."
"Reviewed science homework on the difference between physical changes and chemical changes. Also reviewed vocabulary homework."
"The student needed some help filling out a study packet for his biology class, so we navigated his textbook to find many of the terms he needed definitions for. He has started a unit on genetics, so he is learning about Gregor Mendel's pioneering experiments which studied the emergence of certain genetic information in progressive generations of pea plants. He is a great science student and understands the concepts of dominant and recessive alleles and ratios of genotypes vs. phenotypes when looking at genetic probabilities via the Punnett square. I clarified some vocabulary and spelling that he was unsure about. He is doing well at keeping ahead of his schoolwork and we thought it best to meet again next Monday."
"Today the student and I spoke about chemical equilibrium, equilibrium constants, ICE tables and le Chatelier's principle, along with a few other tidbits. Most of this was new material that she had studied on her own and just needed some practice with and with a little bit of clarification in some areas, she wasn't solid on by herself. Overall her progress and comprehension seem remarkably strong and she reports having done quite well on her midterms."
"We covered synthesis, decomposition, and double displacement reactions in chemistry. Today was a meet and greet to get a feel of what we would be going over."
