"We covered effective ways for him to use his agenda and plan his week so he is aware of all of his upcoming assignments. We also went over some note-taking skills and prepared him for the upcoming assignments."
"Today, the student and I continued to review fractions. She has definitely shown much improvement compared to our first session. Will assign some math hw at our next session."
"The student and I worked on a grammar worksheet and reviewing the order of operations. She and I worked on writing in cursive and correcting spelling, punctuation, and capitalization mistakes."
"I met with the student to review some math concepts such as adding, dividing, multiplying and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. We reviewed multiplying numbers with 4 digits and division. She has really become more confident in her work and needs very little support. She is also doing well in language arts, her reading is more fluent, and her recall and comprehension continue to improve as she reads more."
"Today the student had math homework from his textbook. He had to write decimals in words and write decimals from words in standard and expanded form. Next he worked on his homework for language arts. This worksheet covered the concept of vocabulary development. He had to create a semantic map for his vocabulary words. Then he had to choose the correct statement from two given statements that provided an accurate example of the concept of each vocabulary word. He also had to use context clues to fill in a vocabulary word to complete given sentences. Lastly he had a history worksheet, and he had to fill in missing information in a paragraph about the geography of the United States using given terms."
"We did two writing prompts and the student worked on his math homework. I refocused him several times to relax his attention from his physical writing and apply his attention to the content he was writing."
