The student and I worked on problems spanning applications of Newton's Laws, noninertial frames, and planetary orbits. He typically does a good job of setting up and executing problems. I gave the student a prescription for starting a problem (draw a picture, define axes, write down what you know and don't know). He has shown significant improvement and has a much fuller understanding of the material. I will continue to work on problem solving with him in preparation for his test in a couple weeks.

Today we started preparing for the student's upcoming physics test on Tuesday. We went through his equations worksheet, discussing what each variable represents and the appropriate units for each. The only variable he struggled to remember was that x represents position and that delta represents change in. We moved on to a worksheet that required the student to match various different situations with which Law of Newton applied. The student is confident with the second law, but occasionally misses or switches the first and third. We finished by working on his practice exam that is due tomorrow. We also began to work on another review sheet that he will finish tonight. The student completes problems that require application of Newton's second law with ease.

Today we discussed the digestive system and the periodic table further during our session. We started off today by discussing the journey of food throughout your digestive system, Student 1 is certainly very interested in these topics; she asks a lot of interesting questions. Student 2 also asks very detailed and sometimes difficult questions. They are very thought provoking and I have been impressed by his interest.
