About Me

I am a board-certified teacher with fourteen years of experience teaching literature, writing, and social studies. I am qualified to tutor students of all ages in reading, writing, and English language development -- and in general academics. I particularly enjoy empowering people as writers, helping them uncover original ideas, structure papers, and perfect grammar and mechanics. I also make preparing for standardized assessments a fun (and growth-oriented) experience! I graduated from a private liberal arts college in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and stayed to complete a Master's in Teaching. When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy reading immersive novels, trying new foods from around the world, and playing board games with my 8-year-old.
