We started off with more stoichiometry practice. The student seemed more comfortable with this material than in the last session, and we will review it again next time after he completes the assigned homework. We also covered volume and density, unit conversions, balancing equations, and oxidation numbers; he was familiar with these topics and could do most of the problems we went though well. We finished by talking about molarity and working through a titration problem, which we will continue next session.

We worked on Ksp and molar solubility, as well as the rest of chapter 17 in preparation for the student's final test. We saw that when the molarity of one ionic species is increased, that the molar solubility of the parent compound decreases (e.g., when Pb2+ is added to a solution), the molar solubility of PbI2 decreases).

This session covered capacitors, capacitance, and circuits in the context of several problems from the student's class. We started by discussing the general properties of capacitors and circuits, particularly Kirchhoff's second law (net voltage change around any closed circuit is zero). With some assistance, she was able to apply that law and rules concerning equivalent capacitors to solve the problems.

Acids and bases were covered in depth to review for the chemistry test. The student needed help with the mathematics involved with the chemistry, but was strong on the theory. He was confident with the material that didn't include math. We did a brief review of math and the theory of acids and bases to prepare him.
