Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Great student! I enjoyed assisting the student with her work. We were able to work through the problems she showed. We went over questions regarding free energy and equilibrium. She is enthusiastic to learn and a quick learner."
"He and I covered all of the integumentary system today, and we reviewed specific topics he had questions on over the histology chapter. He has made considerable progress since yesterday, and he feels confident and well prepared for the quiz. He continues to remain positive with the material. We are going to meet again next Tuesday in order to review the quiz and go over the next chapter of material. Great session once again!"
"He and I had a great first tutoring session. He happened to have an exam the following day, so our session was timely. He had a large worksheet to complete which he said was very representative of the upcoming exam, so we spent the whole session going over the worksheet questions. I believe throughout the session, he got more comfortable with equation balancing. I taught him how to ID the limiting reagent and how to calculate percent and theoretical yields. Overall, he definitely improved his comfort with the material, he just needs to be careful with what specifically is being asked to not get tricked/confused by the question prompt. I hope he does well on his exam!"
"He and I had a great session. He is taking his first ochem test this evening, so we did a couple of practice tests and tried to cover everything that would be on the test. We then went over his note sheet that he is allowed to bring into the test and added a few things. I think he is well prepared for the test and will do well. Our next session is scheduled for Monday."
"He and I looked over material before his test. Subject matters included: force diagrams with no acceleration involved and force diagrams with acceleration involved. We primarily looked at a force table problem in which he and I had to determine the magnitude and angle of a third force to balance two opposing forces."
"We went through the answers for the problem set that was given to student in previous session. Most of the questions were clarified for the student. The student was able to answer the questions with confident and identify the symmetry in molecules in order to get the correct structure. In addition, we covered a synthesis question and the mechanism for H-Br addition to alkenes and predict the major product."
