Statistics Tutoring review by Reilly in Georgetown, TX
The student and I mostly went over various methods for visually representing data. These methods included box and whisker plots, stem and leaf plots, and pie charts. We discussed why these methods are important and how they can make data easier to interpret and explain to others. We went over her homework, which she'd already mostly finished ahead of time and with which she only needed help on a few problems. She was great, and I'm looking forward to working with her more.

Statistics Tutoring review by Cedric in Georgetown, TX
I came prepared to conduct a calculus lesson, but the student wanted to focus on statistics. The student had questions about work problems that involved percentiles and score values and, interpreting normal distribution curves. After conducting a few practice problems with percentiles and data analysis. We reviewed more in depth normal distribution curves and standard deviation. We reviewed terminology and key calculations. We then committed to attempting 10 more practice problems finding percentiles from score data and standard deviation values. The student was excited and raved about how much the session helped him understand. He also anticipated doing well on his up-coming quiz due to newly found confidence in the subject matter.

Statistics Tutoring review by Naomi in Georgetown, TX
In this session we worked through most of the student's current homework assignment. The current concepts being taught in the class are lowest common denominator and story problems that either use (rate x time = distance) or two people work at different rates, how long will it take them to complete the job together? The student was able to complete some more independently by the end of the session, and will be tested on the material on Monday. I will be e-mailing him problems today to work on this weekend as extra practice.
