Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I did the review questions with the student. Overall, she understands what her teacher taught. She needs to review a couple of times to master the knowledge. I believe that with the ongoing help, she will not have problems with her grades."
"The student provided a completed probability exam, so we were able to cover a lot of the questions. We then looked over old quizzes and discussed ideas related to probability that might come up on a retest. Her re-test is on Tuesday, so we might meet next Monday."
"Today, we worked with the law of sines. Most of the work we did was determining how many and what kind of triangles exist based on given sides and angles. The concepts were pretty challenging, so we're meeting again soon to review before her quiz next week. I left behind some practice work, and we'll review more next session."
"We began the session doing some practice with cross multiplication before moving on to book work, as the student was caught up on his course work. Our book work focused on factoring and distribution, which we had done some previous work on, and calculating the areas of parallelograms, trapezoids, and triangles. He seemed comfortable with the work that we were doing and has been making progress with keeping his work organized."
"In this 1 hour session, we worked on Algebra content, especially related to inequalities. We reviewed examples of inequalities' solutions represented on a graph. Visual aids were used to reinforce how to solve inequalities. The student had an excellent attitude towards her learning and she was able to complete the majority of the exercises with evidence of improvement."
"We covered limits and derivatives (particularly chain rule). The student struggled a bit with understand limits, but after some study tips, she understood. The student did very well with derivatives and almost needed no help."
