Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I began by reviewing the practice test he took for homework. Next, we practiced brainstorming and outlining several essays. He has been doing a very good job with his preparation, and as we discussed, he should use his last week to get some additional practice and ensure that he is 100% comfortable with all aspects of the exam. For homework, the student will complete at least one timed full-length exam. In addition, he will write at least one extra timed essay."
"Today we spent most of our time on math. We went over a math practice test and reviewed each concept that came up. We covered converting fractions to decimals, exponent and square root rules, dividing by fractions, solving equations, factoring and working with slopes. I left the student with notes from the day as well as some links to online study material. I asked him to work on more practice tests this week."
"The student first did two untimed critical reading sections and we reviewed the questions she got wrong in order to see not only why an answer was correct but why other answer choices were incorrect. The sections were untimed so that we could pay more attention to each question type. We spent the remainder of our time with her doing problems from an untimed math section."
