Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over X-linked dominant hypophosphatemic rickets, X-linked dominant inheritance affecting father and mother, X-linked recessive inheritance different scenarios or pathologies (albinism), and Punnett square diagrams to predict outcome of a particular monohybrid cross and dihybrid cross. The approach was very similar to the previous session. He completed his homework applying the concepts previously learned. He feels more confident about the test he took yesterday."
"We went over acid base reactions and polyatomic ions. The student has a good attitude. We went over study strategies for the exam and high yield information he should review before his test. I left him with questions to review."
"We reviewed the concept of aromaticity and non-aromaticity. We worked on using resonance structures in order to help determine aromaticity. We then worked on several electrophilic substitution reactions focusing on the order substituents were added to the benzene ring."
"We covered internal forces and moments in this session. The student understood the techniques used to attain internal forces and moment. We solved multiple problems and set up techniques that are applicable to every static problem in order to improve his confidence. We have another session scheduled for Tuesday, to review practice problems that he will be working on before our next session."
"We covered ionic equilibrium concepts by going through the PowerPoint provided by the student's professor. She also got introduced to the concepts of thermochemistry. She seemed to grasp the concepts fairly well. We will probably be covering more of those topics in the future."
"We covered kinematics in AP Physics C. The student was very capable with the early material. We need to review the later concepts."
