SSAT Tutoring review by Ramsey in Georgetown, TX
Today, we made an adjustment in our tutoring approach. It seems as if the student does not respond to straightforward technique and pedagogy practice. She responds more to games, activities and challenges. Thus, I have decided to do drills and activities in our session to keep her engaged and also assign her fun games memorization games she can do in her spare time. I think the material will be much more attainable that way.

Today's session with the student went really well. We focused on math, working on fractions; and also worked on some reading. She is picking up everything very fast and isn't struggling with anything at this time. I will be sending her some small reading sections with questions to answer tomorrow so she can complete them for our next session.

We then covered many passages, including discussing what the types of reading comprehension questions were and evaluating the questions. Finally, we read and discussed one poem to analyze the author's choice of words and tone. He is going to take a math practice test for next week so we can analyze the results.
