My education before college was rather unorthodox, in that I was homeschooled by my mother, who brought in students who needed more individual attention than was being provided for them in public or even private school. Having been educated in such an atmosphere through grade 12 has blessed me...

We help you connect with the best tutor for your particular needs while offering flexible scheduling to fit your busy life. The Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) is a standardized test that many private schools use as a part of their admissions process. Students from grades three through eleven are eligible to take the SSAT. There are three different exam levels, including elementary, middle, and upper. The elementary level exam is offered to students in grades three and four. The middle level exam is available to students in grades five through seven. Finally, the upper level exam is given to students in grades eight and above.
The test consists of four sections, including quantitative, reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, and an essay. The quantitative section consists of geometry and spatial sense, measurement and probability, algebra and functions, operations, and properties. The reading comprehension section requires students to answer questions based on reading passages. The verbal reasoning section includes analogy questions and vocabulary. The essay section does not count as part of your child's total score, but their essay is still sent to any school they apply to.
