"We covered combinations and permutations. The student understood the concept and will move on to attempt more difficult questions."
"Today we did a review of past material called a "spiral". He understand the material very well. For homework, he will continue to work the spiral problems."
"This was my first session with the student, and we worked on her online math homework assignment. I had asked her to send me her syllabus and pictures of her book to help make sessions smoother. She tried to do as much of her homework as possible but only got through parts of it, but we tried to get all her questions answered. She will be completing her homework, and I offered to assist via email/text on any questions she gets stuck on. We will be meeting next Wednesday to go over section 3.4 and reviewing for the quiz."
"We reviewed domain, range, x-intercept, and y-intercept. We then discussed different types of functions, including linear, quadratic, cubic, and absolute value. After my explanation of each concept, she quickly caught on and was able to understand the examples in her text book. She said that she found the review incredibly helpful. Overall, it was a very good first session."
"In this lesson, we went through logarithmic differentiation, implicit differentiation, inverse trig functions, and a lot of chain rule. At the end, the student took notes on the step by step procedure to solve each type of problem."
"I introduced her to multivariable equation and how to simplify such equations. We worked on slope-interface format and extracting slope and intercept of a function. We worked on the exponents. We studied multiply and exponents of exponents rules. We worked through monomials. I am going to contact her teacher and find out about the resources that they have."
