"The student a 5 paragraph essay due for Friday. She has to write a traditional essay based on her topic. She completed the introduction and first body paragraph. She concerned with the size of a paragraph and how long each should be. Her ideas were good. She has an outline to work with and I gave her some helpful strategies to work on the essay."
"Today, we reviewed the student's language arts homework- cause and effect with situations. Then, we worked on his multiplication facts of 4 and 6 with multiplication wheels that included 1-12 facts. Finally, I had him read a short story and answer some reading comprehension questions."
"I covered the subjects that would be on the test on Friday with the student. I reviewed the previous lessons including writing fractions as equivalent fractions with a denominator 0f 10 or 100, writing decimals for the parts of a dollar, showing the decimals that the number lines represent. I gave her two quizzes that covered the entire math lesson. I also helped her to write the vocabulary words in cursive and a story about her favorite chocolate. She scored a 33 on her social studies test; the teacher will give her parents some assignments for her to do for retake and I will focus on that for her to do better."
"Today, we got acquainted with each other and worked out a rough plan to help him stay ahead of his work throughout the semester. He seemed to take very well to the plan and has a good understanding of what he needs to work on. I believe that with time and hard work he will be able to improve his grades this coming quarter. This week, he needs to make sure to gather his syllabuses and any other relevant scheduling materials so that he is ready to put specifics into the plan on Thursday."
"We had lots of work in every subject to catch up on. We also worked on homework assigned for this week and got him organized for the remainder of the week."
"For this session, we covered acid/base chemistry. We almost finished the worksheets that were assigned to the student. He is improving as each session goes by. I am sure that with a little bit more practice, he will be ready for his test that is coming up."
